We would like to have our platform FIPS140-2 certified (based on Jetpack 4.6). Ubuntu does have a FIPS certified version of the 18.04 platform. Is this something Nvidia is planning to make available via the Jetpack (appropriate kernel and OpenSSL modifications)? If not, is there guidance from Nvidia on how to make Jetpack 4.6 FIPS140-2 compliant without disrupting any customization Nvidia may have applied to the kernel or OpenSSL?
Hi John – hopefully Nvidia has something which could be shared.
Sorry for the late respose.
By confirmation from our intenral team, we have not certified AGX Xavier (e.g. hardware encryption engine) for FIPS 140-2, nor do we have guidance to enable FIPS 140-2 mode in Ubuntu (using software crypto).
