Is VR SLI still a thing?

I haven’t seen anything about it in years, so I was wondering if VR SLI was still a thing, or if there was some backdoor with older versions of software that I could potentially use to get VR SLI working. I know that in the overwhelming majority of cases, VR SLI isn’t necessary, but we’re trying to create a projection chamber with 6 separate HD screens, and were thinking of using Mosaic to treat each set of 3 screens as an “eye” and using VR SLI so that each GPU was only controlling 3 screens. Does anyone have any ideas on how we could go about this?
