Isaac Sim 2022.1.0 Beta not using proxy settings?

Isaac Sim 2022.1.0 Beta is not able to fetch its own assets behind a proxy, shown in this section of the log output:

This is using CNTLM as a local proxy daemon at http://127.0.0.1:3128, which works correctly with Omniverse launcher with the --proxy-server=127.0.0.1:3128 parameter. However, it doesn’t appear that this parameter is passed to Isaac Sim through the launcher, and manually running Issac with

.local/share/ov/pkg/isaac_sim-2022.1.0/isaac-sim.sh --proxy-server 127.0.0.1:3128

also doesn’t appear to force using the proxy. We’ve also ensured that the http_proxy and https_proxy environment variables are set.

Is there a way to either force using the local proxy or to pre-fetch the assets?

Hi. I think you are referring to the proxy server for Launcher. I believe this flag is only for the Launcher and does not work with Isaac Sim.

You can ignore the errors above. Once you have setup the proxy on Launcher, your installed Nucleus should be able to access the assets in the /NVIDIA folder on localhost.

Try running an Isaac Sim sample. It should look with the assets from that local Nucleus server.
