I am a student and I want to use Isaac-sim among other graphics heavy applications on a VM. My host OS is Ubuntu 20.04 but since Isaac-sim requires Ubuntu18.04 I was planning on creating a VM using VMware Workstation 16. I have a rtx 2080ti and sufficient ram and cpu to get decent performance. Would I be able to maximize my gpu utilization with the VM or would I need to do something like dual boot? Thanks
Hi, the latest Isaac Sim 2021.1.1 do not officially support Ubuntu 20.04 but it should work. You can try running it in a docker too.
A VM may work if you can get the GPU passthrough to the VM.
