IsaacSim Unity 3D Sample fails with `No supported renderers found, exiting (Filename: Line: 618)`

I want to run IsaacSim Unity3D in an AzureVM. After VM setup and Isaac & IsaacSim installation, I connect via RemoteDesktop and run ./sample.x86_64 --scene small_warehouse -logFile -. A window comes up, but closes directly and I get the following CLI output:

Set current directory to /home/christoph/isaac_sim_unity3d/builds
Found path: /home/christoph/isaac_sim_unity3d/builds/sample.x86_64

Mono config path = '/home/christoph/isaac_sim_unity3d/builds/sample_Data/MonoBleedingEdge/etc'

The VM comes with a NVIDIA Tesla K80 (driver version 450) --> Azure NC6 Promo with Ubuntu 18.04.

  1. Did somebody have similar problems or was successfull running IsaacSim in an Azure VM (NC6_Promo Standard)?
  2. Is the problem likely be connected to the remote setup or is it about Unity3D/ Vulkan/ …?

  • vulkaninfo runs succesfully, but only if I set $DISPLAY="".
  • I can run the above command by setting the -nographics flag

Best regards and thanks for any help!
