I’m looking to get a cloud setup of isaac sim running for engineering students at my university and we are looking for the best approach to stream issac sim instances from the cloud to students’ local machines.
We have T4 GPU resources available at our university cloud, but I cannot find documentation that the RTX renderer will function on T4 or if it is only used for headless simulation. There seems to be consensus that A10 is required for RTX rendering, but T4 is also listed in the Issac Sim docs for cloud deployment options.
Essentially, before we mount this effort I’m looking for some confirmation that GPU rendering in issac sim is compatible with T4 GPU or if we have to look at another option like A10 etc. Thanks!
Could you please provide more context about the consensus you’re referring to? Also, could you point me to the source of this information?
From my understanding, both the NVIDIA T4 and A10 GPUs are RTX-capable. If there’s conflicting information, I’d like to review it to ensure we have accurate details.
@VickNV thanks for reaching out. What I meant there is that there was consensus that A10 was sufficient but I was having trouble finding documentation explicitly saying that T4 was supported on the RTX rendered for Omniverse products at large. Your confirmation is helpful and we’ll move forward with testing on our existing T4 hardware.
