Issue with Hairworks in Unreal Engine 4 (4.20.3)

Hello, I’m currently having an issue where after I export my guide lines from 3ds Max (.apx) after disabling the “Shotgun” looking button and deleting extra duplicated guide lines to make it so I can export it I finally managed to get it to look… Good? Here’s the issue, (Image attached below or above, where ever it shows.)

I could really do with some help on this. I’m hoping to be able to make a video with this character but I would very much regret not having used fur in it.

Thanks for your time.

Hello,

I am not an expert with Hairworks, but you might try checking out our documentation and tutorials.

Hi Sam,

I am looking for a Hairworks expert at the moment. Thanks for your patience.

Hi Sam,

Unfortunately, I am not having any luck locating a Hairworks specialist. I was able to get this comment from one of our engineers.

“It looks like there are guides missing for one. Guides must have their roots align with a vertex of the growth mesh. If there are guides missing or bad topology underneath, then the hair will not be contiguous. There isn’t enough information here to properly diagnose.”

I hope this helps.

Best,
Tom

Hi Sam,
Can you email me your sample and tell me what you did in steps? Thank you very much!
