Issue with Jetson Orion Nano Onboard Bluetooth BLE Connectivity

Hello NVIDIA Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working with a Jetson Orion Nano and facing an issue with the onboard Bluetooth BLE module.

Despite using an antenna with the onboard Bluetooth, I’ve noticed significant connectivity issues. The device takes a long time to establish a connection, and in most cases, it fails to connect entirely. However, when I use an external Bluetooth dongle, the connection is established quickly and consistently without any issues.

Here’s a quick summary of the problem:

  • Device: Jetson Orion Nano
  • Issue: Onboard Bluetooth BLE takes time to connect and frequently fails to connect.
  • Observation: Using an external Bluetooth dongle resolves the connectivity issues.
  • Setup: I am using an external antenna with the onboard Bluetooth module.

Could you please provide guidance on resolving this issue? Is there any firmware update, driver setting, or configuration I should try to improve the performance of the onboard Bluetooth BLE module ?

Additionally, do I need to consider replacing the onboard Wi-Fi/Bluetooth hardware to address this issue?

Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to your support in resolving this issue.

Can you try with the latest JetPack 6.1 GA SW to see if issue still present?

Thank you for the reply, I’m already running my Jetson Orion Nano on JetPack 6.1. Please let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like me to verify or test.

Hi,
