Issues with RTX3060 after fresh install of Ubuntu Studio 26.04, driver 595.58.03

I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu Studio 26.04 LTS on my desktop system. Previously I’ve been running Ubuntu Studio 24.04 LTS. The driver for 24.04 is 580.126.09 and the 26.04 driver shows as 595.58.03. I have four displays arranged with three side by side horizontally and the fourth above them. The three are at resolutions of, from left to right, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, and 1680x1050 respectively. The one above them is 3840x2160.

The setup described above works well on the 24.04 system with all displays showing as running at 60hz. The 24.04 system runs on xorg and the 26.04 system runs on wayland.

The issues seem several. On the new system, the displayed rate is ~29.97 for all displays. Also, the 4k display does not display at all at 4k. If I set it to 1920x1080, though, it does display. Third, when I move the mouse between displays, there is a noticable hesitation in crossing between them. There are also occasional hesitations in movements within a single display’s display area. Lastly, at seemingly random times, the system will freeze with one or more displays turning to frozen video frazz.

The nouveau driver behaves similarly.

I have no idea how to proceed in solving these issues and would appreciate any input to that end.

Thanks,

BabaG1
