it is OK to unused EEPROM for multiple camera sensor solution

Hi
I will connect 6 cameras to Tx2, and the each camera is GMSL output and i will place GSML-CSI de-serializer in my board to connector those camera to TX2 CSI-2 interface.So the I2C interface of TX2 will connect to GMSL-CSI de-serializer.
I don’t know base on my application whether i still need to add a EEPROM, and if i needed what the function it is used for?

If you don’t need to support plugin manager don’t need EEPROM.
