We are happy to announce the release of Jacket beta version 0.5! The download also includes Jacket’s Graphics Toolbox (alpha version 0.2), now available for all operating systems. You can upgrade your version of Jacket by logging in and downloading the new release:

In this newer version of Jacket, you will find:
- Custom MEX support - now you can write your own CUDA kernels to run on gsingles (see the mex_example)
- New functions: filter (IIR), circshift
- Increased performance: faster filter2 (now uses native 3x3 MATLAB kernels), faster subscript references
- New features: sum/min/max/any/all work along first dimension of N-dimensional data
- Bug fixes: Reshaping after subscripting now works, updated examples to use singles on the CPU side
You will also find version 0.2 of Jacket’s Graphics Toolbox, including:
- Support for all operating systems: Windows 32-bit, Windows 64-bit, Linux 32-bit, Linux 64-bit, and MacOSX 32-bit
- A port of the latest OpenGL API (with extensions) to MATLAB
- New graphics examples: gfx_raindrop_example, gfx_shaded_ocean_example, gfx_interactive_ocean_example

This beta release will expire on November 30, 2008 and we will likely end our beta period towards the end of the year.
