JETSON AGX ORIN DEVELOPER KIT

HI, I recently purchased a Jetson AGX ORIN developer kit, which was working fine when I purchased it. After working with it and building LLM, I turned off computer. The next day, when I booted the Jetson, the boot screen appears and then the monitor goes black and then the following message appears “ input signal not found HDMI”. However, the HDMI cable is new and so is the monitor and Jetson. Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

Thanks for visiting the NVIDIA Developer Forums.
To ensure better visibility and support, I’ve moved your post to the Jetson category where it’s more appropriate

Cheers,
Tom

Okay. Thank you Tom. appreciated.

HI,

The AGX Orin developer kit doesn’t have an HDMI port; do you use an adapter for connected monitor instead?

Thanks

Hi David, The cord I am using is an HDMI to monitor connection. I do not recall the correct label for the cord. The cord is NOT the issue as it is working. As I mentioned in the original post. I can see (visually) the “boot” screen…. (data scrolling) then the screen (monitor) goes black (blank). Then a message window appears showing that the HDMI signal is lost and the monitor goes to sleep. Everything was working great for about a week and then it wasn’t. Still would like help with this issue. I am currently working with Artificial intelligence and artificial life models and thought this kit would be great, however, doesn’t seem reliable as it crashed in a week.

Hi TomNVIDIA, is there someone that can help with this issue or should I just return for a new one? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

We would like to confirm whether your cable is a DP-to-HDMI cable or an HDMI-to-HDMI cable. Our developer kit only supports a DP port. If your device uses an HDMI port, it indicates a custom board. In that case, we recommend contacting your custom board vendor to obtain the customized BSP and perform a reflash.

If you’re unsure, please provide a picture for us to review.

Thanks

Yes. CONFIRMED HDMI -to -DP…….It is an NVIDIA product. The carrier board would be from NVIDIA I would presume since I purchased the JETSON AGX DEVELOPER KIT 64GB from NVIDIA.

Hi, hope you are doing great.

Enable serial output to see the debug messages coming from the board. You can follow this wiki:

Hi,

What is your bsp version?
We suggest to full flash the device with latest bsp version 36.5 .

Thanks

Not certain if anyone is reading my messages. hahaha. 1. I agree with refreshing the Jetson AGX ORIN dev kit. 2. I do NOT have a PC. I currently own an iMac 2020 and attempting to reflash the drive with Unbuntu, which is installed on VirtualBox. As I do NOT own a separate PC. (My question here: is is possible to attempt reflashing the drive using a VM? 3. I am currently attempting to gather debug messages, as suggested “christian.hidalgo” - however, as I mentioned, I am using a VM. Same question here: How can I attempt gathering debug messages using the serial port? I already have the cable plugged into the debug port. The instructions do NOT show for virtual machines running on an apple. Ultimate question: Do I just need to find PC with Unbuntu instead? Thanks. I will keep you updated if I am successful.

Also. Thank you both for your earlier replies.

You can close this request now. I figured out my solution. It is now working.
