Hi,
We are using Jetson AGX Xavier SOM and carrier board for our product development. At present we are using 19V 3.5A adopter and planning to change 12V supply. We need your support to select suitable adopter. What is the current ratting is required for 12V supply. Also Like to know the max power consumption of SOM and carrier board
Thanks,

This question comes up with some frequency. You may find good answers if you search the history of the board.
In brief:
- Make sure your power supply and wiring has very low impedance and very low inductance. Even a very brief drop in voltage, or too slow rise time when turning on, will cause the Jetson carrier to not be happy. Use short, fat, wires, and ideally a big capacitor right at the power input.
- If you use the 12V output for SATA or PCI-Ex connectors, then consider that the 12V regulator may have some drop-out, so you’d actually want to drive it with 13V or more. If you’re using a battery, consider the entire active range of the battery (e g, 3S LiPo will have a range from 12.6 to 9.6 Volts.)
- To power just the Jetson and not any peripherals, 3A might be sufficient, assuming it’s reliable and clean. I’d recommend 5A. If you use more peripherals, supply more current.
Hi,
Thanks for your valuable feedback. We will connect the 12V/5A to Board and check it.
Thanks,
