Jetson-IO not working on Jetson Orin Nano

Hi Team,

i am currently struggling around trying to get a Device Tree Overlay to load on my Orin Nano. When looking into extlinux.conf, it seems like there is no default device tree defined, which i find very odd.

So i tried to add them by editing the extlinux.conf with the normal device tree and a overlay file, but apperently those dont get loaded.

Now I wanted to try the Jetson-IO Tool to add a device tree overlay. At first everything seemed fine the Tool did what its supposed to do. When I reboot my system after i executed the tool, My Jetson cant boot up when loading the Profile associated whit Jetson-IO.

Of course, i thought that it is because some error of my own device tree overlay, so i removed it and tried to add one of camera overlays that are included. Unfortunatly this resultet in the same error, and this configuration cant boot.

Is this a know issue? Is there a general / universal guide from NVIDIA on how to programm Device Tree Overlay Files and how to add them? On my Jetson Nano, i could edit the device tree without reflashing the device or so.

Thanks and Best regards
Tim

Hi tteuber,

Please let me confirm with you again that are you using Orin Nano or Jetson Nano?

What’s your Jetpack version in use?

May I also know what’s your current issue?
about Jetson-IO not work or the change in device tree can’t be updated?

Hi Kevin,

i am working on the Jetson Orin Nano. I just said that i also have a Nano and there everything works fine. I am using Jetpack 6. Jetson-IO and Device Tree Updating manually are not working.

Best regards
Tim

Are you using the devkit or custom board for Orin Nano?

For Orin Nano with Jetpack 6.0, device tree is stored in uefi binary.
We would suggest update them in your BSP package and reflash the board to apply the change.
