Jetson Nano 2GB doesn't boot. Is it dead on arrival?

I tried to setup Jetson Nano 2GB for the first time today as follows and it doesn’t boot. How do I debug this? I am afraid the board might be dead.

Headless setup:

  1. Quick formatted a new 64 GB Samsung High Endurance micro SD card
  2. Flashed the Jetson Nano 2GB image on the micro SD card using Etcher.
  3. Insert microSD into Jetson Nano
  4. Plugged in micro USB-C 3 Amp power supply and connected Micro USB type A to USB port of a Windows 10 machine with Putty.

Expected: Jetson Nano should enumerate as a virtual Com port in Windows device manager.

Observed: Green LED turns on but nothing else happens. No new device is detected in Device manager.

With display setup:

  1. Quick formatted a new 64 GB Samsung High Endurance micro SD card
  2. Flashed the Jetson Nano 2GB image on the micro SD card using Etcher.
  3. Insert microSD into Jetson Nano
  4. Plugged in micro USB-C 3 Amp power supply and connected display via powered HDMI to VGA adapter, Keyboard and mouse.

Expected: Jetson Nano setup should show up on display

Observed: Green LED turns on but nothing else happens.

It was my bad. I accidentally put the image on the wrong drive instead of the card I inserted into the Nano board. After inserting the card with the image it works great.
