Jetson nano 2gb error ethernet issues and X11 server connection

Hi I have 2 issues that I would like to address. I am using a jetson nano 2gb running jetpack and ubuntu 18.04.

My first issue is that despite connected to ethernet, I have no wifi. It shows that it is connected. I have solved this issue as a temporary fix but I dont remember how I did it and I would like a permanent one.

The other and more pressing issue is whenever I try and display my live camera feed by running in the ubuntu terminal: video-viewer /dev/video0, making sure that /dev/video0 is correct, i get the following errors:

Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keynvbuf_utils: Could not get EGL display connection
MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key[OpenGL] failed to open X11 server connection.
[OpenGL] failed to create X11 Window.

Not sure what have you done on your device, can you try to flash SW on device to see if can work?

What’s SW?

hello yunuscurrie,

had you try configure your display environment with… $ export DISPLAY=:0
you may also running with $ xrandr utility to examine your display settings.
