Jetson Nano 4GB Developer Kit not booting, no HDMI/USB/Ethernet, not detected in Force Recovery Mode

Hello NVIDIA Team,

I am experiencing an issue with my NVIDIA Jetson Nano 4GB Developer Kit.

Issue:

  • No HDMI display output.
  • No Ethernet activity.
  • USB devices are not detected.
  • The board is not detected by the host PC in Force Recovery Mode (lsusb shows no NVIDIA device).

Hardware:

  • Jetson Nano Developer Kit 4GB

JetPack Image:

Troubleshooting Performed:

  1. Re-flashed the official NVIDIA JetPack SD card image multiple times.
  2. Tried different microSD cards.
  3. Used a known-good 5V/3A power supply.
  4. Tested different HDMI cables and monitors.
  5. Attempted to boot in Force Recovery Mode.
  6. The board still shows no display, no Ethernet activity, and no USB functionality.

UART Logs will share soon.

NVIDIA Customer Care requested that I create this forum post so the Jetson team can review the issue and determine whether this is a hardware failure requiring an RMA.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you.

The board is not detected by the host PC in Force Recovery Mode (lsusb shows no NVIDIA device).

What is your method to put the board in recovery mode?

I feel the problem here is that you don’t know what does recovery mode mean here. It is not something for you to boot. Recovery mode only means host PC could detect the board and flash with sdkmanager. If the board is not in recovery mode, then host PC is not able to flash it.

Nothing will boot when it is in recovery mode.

We tried sdkmanager only. The board didnt get detected when i connected it to my lappy.

Yes, please answer my question.

If you don’t put the board into recovery mode, sdkmanager won’t detect it.
