Jetson Nano does not recognize WiFi dongle on startup occasionally

We have a Jetson Nano that is connected to a WiFi dongle via a carrier board and daughter board. We are using the TP-Link TL-WN725N USB 2.0 dongle for this. Most of the time on startup of the machine, the dongle starts up and functions as intended, however occasionally the WiFi dongle will not be recognized by the Jetson Nano and will not connect.

Are there any reasons why this WiFi dongle wouldn’t connect or be recognized by the Jetson Nano during it’s boot sequence?
