Hello,
I’m using a jetson nano, I would like to upgrade this to jetson pack, however it can’t be done.
I’m sure I followed all the instructions.
All logs exported are attached here, looking for your advice.

Hi yc14
I would like to ask you some questions for more information:
- Are you using a NV devkit or custom board? Or you are not sure about the question here?
- Are you using the correct port to flash? Only one specific type C port is the flash port.
- The board needs to be in recovery mode before flash starts. Did you put the board into recovery mode?
- Are you sure the usb cable is able to transfer data? As some cheap cable only has charging function.’
- Is the host machine a native ubuntu PC?
Thanks
Thanks for your reply!
- It’s not a custom board, it’s NV board;
- I think it’s the right port, as when this port is plugged in, the board could be detected by SDK manager;
- When the board is detected by SDK manager, it means that it’s in recovery mode, right?
- I tried with a few cables, I’m sure this one works;
- Yes it’s a ubuntu 20;
Hi yc14,
To change to Force Recovery Mode, you can refer to this website Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit User Guide - How-to.
To determine whether the dev kit is in recovery mode, please refer Quick Start — NVIDIA Jetson Linux Developer Guide 1 documentation
Hello David,
I tried forced recovery mode as indicated in the first link, and checked with method mentioned in the second one, which showed:
Bus 001 Device 048: ID 0955:7623 NVIDIA Corp. APX
Thus I’m pretty sure it’s in the recovery mode, however the error information remains unchanged.
Here’s the new log:

Just to clarify the naming here… Are you using Jetson Nano or Jetson Orin nano…?
These two are totally different. I guess you are using Orin Nano… but you filed in the old Jetson nano forum.
It’s Jetson Orin Nano, sorry for this misleading, I’m new here.
Ok. I just moved the post to Orin Nano forum.
please enable serial console log and share the log during flash failure happened.
