Jetson NANO - Install CUDA on sd card

Hello, I have a jetson nano 16Gbs and the storage is almost full !
I would like to download and install cuda on the jetson card but I have no space left for it, so I want to download it onto an sd card then run it from there. I know cuda might run slower but is it possible to do this ?

Hi,

CUDA is installed to /usr/loca/ which by default uses the Jetson storage.
To do so, you can set up the system to external storage to expand the size:

Thanks.

So basically, you are telling me to move the “/” (whole system) to the sd card if I understood well .
But If I do so, I heard that the system will be much slower and will perform worse and in some cases it will not boot and the Jetson Nano may need to be re-flashed !

Hi,

This depends on the external storage type.
You can try an NVMe SSD.

Thanks.
