Jetson Nano not booting after flashing image

Hello,

I have a Jetson Nano board and I’m having trouble getting it to boot.

I downloaded the official SD card image from your website (JP 4.6.1) and flashed it to a SanDisk 64GB microSD using Balena Etcher. The board powers on via Micro-USB and the fan spins, but there’s no output on the HDMI screen. I’ve also tested the SD card with Raspberry Pi OS and confirmed it’s working.

Here are the details:

  • Board: Jetson Nano (with Micro-USB power input)
  • Power supply: 5V 3A via Micro-USB
  • microSD: SanDisk 64GB
  • Display: HDMI monitor (working with other devices)
  • No SSH IP appears on the network

Please let me know how I can proceed or if the board may be defective.

Hi @somarbafagih,

I suggest you to check this similar post:

Also, if it’s possible try to test with a different power supply. Maybe your adapter is not providing actually 5V.

I bought another adapter and it’s new one that provides 5V-3A micro usb, and i flash the imager in the SD card to connect it with the screen via HDMI to know the ip address. My goal is to control the jetson nano by ssh from my laptop. But as i said before there is no signal detected in the screen.
Thank you,

Is this the original Nano? It won’t matter too much, the post will still be viewed, but the TX1 forum is a different form factor. Someone from NVIDIA might want to move this to the older Nano forum (there are other Nano form factors, e.g., Xavier and Orin Nano are both different and cost more).

FYI, you have to flash the actual Nano at least once as well. Once the Nano itself is flashed (the dev kit has QSPI memory on the module itself and contains the equivalent of the BIOS and some boot chain) it should work. I’d use the newest L4T version supported, which is the R32.x series for the older Nano. You can find content here:

There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue anymore.
Hence, we are closing this topic. If need further support, please open a new one.

Moving to Jetson Nano forum.

Is this still an issue to support? Any result can be shared?
