Jetson Nano With USB modem and IP camera

Hello all,

I have Jetson Nano dev kit, I would like to connect a IP camera on ethernet Port.
For the network connection i am using 4G USB modem.

I have set up a Static IP for the camera in this range 192.168.8.149.
I have set the USB modem IP address to 192.168.8.100, But unable to ping the camera or even unable to see the stream.

Can you please advice me on this.

Is it the correct path /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/USBmodem

id=USBmodem
uuid=74a3e22c-e596-34cd-b078-cb19d6f0bf38
type=ethernet
autoconnect-priority=-999
permissions=
timestamp=1622537224

[ethernet]
mac-address=0C:5B:8F:27:9A:64
mac-address-blacklist=

[ipv4]
address1=192.168.8.100/24,192.168.8.1
dns=8.8.8.8;
dns-search=8.8.4.4;
method=auto

[ipv6]
addr-gen-mode=stable-privacy
dns-search=
ip6-privacy=0
method=auto

Thanks.

Regards
Ramesh

Not sure but you have settings:

address1=192.168.3.10/24,192.168.3.1

for 192.168.3.* while you are using IP addresses 192.168.8.*

Sorry all it was a typo mistake my modem is in 192.168.8.x subnet and i have changed the camera to the same subnet 192.168.8.x
still it is not working.

Hi,
Not sure if your case works. Generally we connect Nano to a PoE router and then to IP cameras. If you have PoE router, we suggest try this case.

Hi DaneLL,

We tried with Poe Router and WiFi. It is working.

We want to try with USB modem and Ethernet connection to camera.

Hi,
We don’t have much experience in this setup. Would see if other users have similar experience and can provide suggestion.
