Jetson Nano

Dear NVIDIA Support,

I need help installing Ubuntu (JetPack) on my Aaeon IBOX-JSN0, which is based on the Jetson Nano module with 16GB eMMC.

SDK Manager detects the device in recovery mode, but I face issues like:

  • The module is not listed properly in the target options
  • Login errors during installation
  • Uncertainty about which JetPack version to use

Can you provide a guide or correct method (SDK Manager or flash.sh) to install JetPack on this production module?

Thank you for your help.

This is a 3rd party carrier board, please contact them to get the instructions.

Thanks

Just a note: The reason NVIDIA can’t help is because the alternate carrier board is likely not an exact duplicate layout of the developer kit carrier board. The firmware will be different (more specifically, the device tree will route pins differently from the module). The only one who knows what is changed is the manufacturer of the carrier board. They would do one of the following if you check their support documentation or web site:

  • Make a note that this is able to use the NVIDIA JetPack install software directly (in that case their carrier board is an exact copy of NVIDIA’s).
  • Provide a patch to NVIDIA’s flash software (likely a device tree edit).
  • Provide a rebranded version of NVIDIA’s JetPack (which would also include a new device tree).
