Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit - Flip event timeout on head 0 Error

I have a Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit. Until a few days ago, it was working without any problems. Today, I brought it to the office and tried to boot it again. The only change is the monitor I’m using, but now the Jetson doesn’t boot properly. The screen goes black (and sometimes flickers) after the boot-up screen.

I connected to the Jetson through the serial port and discovered that it gets stuck with the following error. I’ve attached the full serial output.

[ 74.462462] [drm:nv_drm_atomic_commit [nvidia_drm]] ERROR [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00020000] Flip event timeout on head 0

capturefile.txt (146.1 KB)

Could anyone help me understand or resolve this issue?

Hi omermersin02,

What’s the Jetpack version in use? (JP6.1!?)

[ 19.404492] using random self ethernet address
[ 19.404499] using random host ethernet address

Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS orin-desktop ttyTCU0

From the log you shared, the board has booted up successfully.

Could you try using another monitor to check if the issue is specific to current monitor?

You can also share the /var/log/Xorg.0.log from your devkit for further check.
