Jetson orin nano development board does not work when powered by USB

Hello, I want to use the Jetson Orin Nano 8G development board in the car. Do you have any suggestions for power supply? The USB port voltage in the car is 12V, which also meets the power requirements. When the USB to DC is connected, the power indicator light will light up and then go out. What is the reason? Or use battery power. What is the solution?

That could be the issue of your 12V supply capability. You can try other supply like battery.

Hello, thank you for your answer. Are there any precautions when using batteries? Or is it OK as long as the output voltage reaches 19V? However, using the power adapter of a mobile phone can also output 19V, but it also lights up for a while and then goes out.

Can the devkit normally boot with any power supply before? The voltage range of DC Jack of Orin nano devkit is 5V ~ 20V. Please check your power supply capability.

Hello, it is like this. The power cord and adapter provided by the development board can work normally, but because the project needs to work in the car, I hope to use the car USB power supply or battery power supply. I would like to ask if there is any ready-made solution (that can be purchased), or the precautions for using USB or battery power supply. Thank you

No such solution we can share. Since it works well with default supply, then it should be the capability issue of your USB or battery.
