Subject: Inquiry on Jetson Orin Nano Errata Documentation and Improvements Over Jetson Nano
Dear NVIDIA Jetson Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. As an embedded systems engineer working on automotive-grade projects involving the Jetson Orin Nano SoM integrated with ST MCUs via CAN FD (using TCAN1044V transceivers), I am evaluating its suitability for production prototypes.
While I am familiar with the documented limitations of the predecessor Jetson Nano—such as USB 3.0 instability, PCIe enumeration issues with certain NVMe drives, eMMC flashing inconsistencies, and thermal/power throttling quirks—could you please confirm if there exists any official errata documentation specifically for:
The Jetson Orin Nano SoM (P3767 series modules)?
The underlying Orin SoC?
The Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit carrier board?
Additionally, I would appreciate clarification on whether the Orin Nano architecture has resolved these Jetson Nano limitations, particularly regarding PCIe Gen4 stability, USB performance, native CAN/MTT-CAN reliability, and power delivery for sustained AI edge workloads. I would also like to know if there are any limitations (both in hardware and software related features) in the Jetson Orin Nano?
My goal is to ensure robust communication stacks without legacy workarounds. Any pointers to release notes, hardware errata PDFs, or forum threads with serial number-specific guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your insights and quick response.

Our team are going to deploy Jetson Orin Nano in a transport application for the first time. So, if the product has an errata sheet, our development would be much easier. For Jetson Nano, there were so many limitations addressed in its Errata sheet. So, for Jetson Orin Nano which is meant to be successor of the discontinued Jetson Nano, I would like to know if there limitations for the Jetson Orin Nano such as the following:
Thermal/power throttling: The Jetson Orin Nano SoM, like the Jetson Nano, may experience thermal/power throttling under certain conditions, which can impact performance
eMMC flashing inconsistencies: The Jetson Orin Nano SoM, like the Jetson Nano, may experience eMMC flashing inconsistencies, which can impact performance and reliability.
Software limitations: The Jetson Orin Nano SoM has some software limitations, including limitations in the NVIDIA Jetson Linux operating system and the availability of certain software features.
The above limitations were generated by NVDIA LLM.
I would be also grateful if there is a detailed errata sheet specifying the above limitations.

Are there anymore limitations like this in Jetson Orin Nano that NVIDIA LLM has not mentioned?
