Jetson Orin nano flashing qspi to increase memory

I followed the steps below to flash the QSPI and increase memory, but ran into an error.

did UART show anything during flashing?
Please try these commands:

sudo -s
echo -1 > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend

If it still does not work, try with a different USB port/USB cable/host, etc.

Changed the autosuspend value.
Tried with a different USB port and cable, same results.
Trying to find another host. Is there any correlation between host OS version and this error? I used an Ubuntu 18.04 host and faced this issue. Should I look for hosts with a different OS version?

Hi,

it’s a known issue that has been around for quite a while, but haven’t worked out a solution as the root cause is complicated.

18.04 seems to be more stable than 20.04, but it’s not guaranteed. Switching to a different host PC may also work.

It’s about instability in USB signals, and it requires some special machines to capture and analyze the signal, so it’s hard for normal users to debug. We are still working on it.

I don’t think so, you do need to flash it to update the bootloader. You won’t be able to touch contents of the bootloader otherwise.
