Jetson Orin Nano no longer boots

The jetson orin nano is probably the worst board I ever worked on.
It used to disconnect continuously from wifi and because of that, I had to ssh into the board using an Ethernet cable.
but now it does not boot at all.
I tried to reinstall everything but it did not help.
that fan makes a strange noise.

Have you connected the jumper wire and use sdkmanager to reflash the system?
As far as your wifi disconnecting it is either a threat actor trying to breach network, your networking has a problem. Unless you are set up to sniff you will not see the attack.

I really do not understand what you are saying. the fan spins a few round and then stops.

for the network, all other devices on my network including two raspberry pi boards are working perfectly fine. the nvidia board used to be the only problematic device.

Hi,

Regarding the fan behaviour, I can’t really deem it as strange since mine has similar “bursts” in terms of it being on and off but the board itself its at a normal temperature, so seems like a normal behaviour. In terms of the wifi connection, I use an ethernet cable since the wifi singal where I work is weak and seems to not be enough for the jetson to get good connection quality, but works perfectly when I move it to somewhere with stronger signal.

Have you checked if the L4T booting state is set as “normal” or “unbootable”?

Well, sorry, I am out of guesses on this one.

My self, if it don’t work toss it in the trash and find one that does work. It might have an issue but you will never find it due to the complexity of the system. If your wireless AP is more than couple of years old toss it out and get a new one that can handle the protocols and other stuff better. Pointing fingers, your networking gear is the problem and not the board.
