Hello. I have a Jetson Orin Nano Dev Kit I have been using for a month or so. Recently when going to work on it I noticed the power led was no longer on and the fan is not spinning. I attempted to debug using the serial console but fail to get any output. I even tried with an oscilloscope and get nothing. To further diagnose I verified the power supply was working. It was outputting 0V even though it was the OEM one. I then unplugged it from AC and plugged it back into AC without plugging into a Jetson and measured. I got 19V as expected. Once again I plugged into the Jetson and the power supply immediately dropped to 0V. I tried a 12v supply which the Orin Nano supports and same behavior even though it was a different power supply. All indications are that the Jetson Orin Nano I have is fried. No communication failure to receive power most likely as a way to defend the power supply from a shorting device. I have looked over everything on the device and cant find any signs of burned components or anything causing a short. Any ideas?
I removed the Jetson Orin Module and this issue persists with just the carrier board. Indicating there could be a short on the carrier board causing the power supply to enter into a failure mode.
You can try checking based on P3768_A04 schematic, or run RMA for the devkit.
I would like to run an RMA for the dev kit how can I do that.
I did this prior and they redirected me to the forum saying the forum handles issues with the jetson platform.
You can show this topic to confirm the board has issue and need to RMA.
