Hello There! This is my first post so I apologize if I did anything wrong.
I am considering buying a Jetson Orin Nano Super 8GB Development Kit which comes with the Carrier Board that carries a DisplayPort Connector.
For the project I’m gonna be making I’m gonna need to drive a 2880x1440 Display at at least 90Hz, ideally 120Hz, would such a thing be possible on this Board?
From reading some of the Datasheets this port is supposed to support HBR2 and even HBR3 Bandwidths, which theoretically should be way more than enough to drive such a display, however I’m unsure due to the Display Controller section of the documentation mentioning certain pixel clock limitations. Would either 90 or 120Hz be possible at 2880x1440?
Thank you very much in advance!
Orin Nano does not support 4k@60 resolution but only 4k@30. Which means the 2880x1400@90 or 120 may not be supported as well.
You could try Orin NX or Orin AGX first.
Is there a way you could know for sure? It not supporting 4k at 60Hz is something I gathered from the Datasheets already and does not answer my question. The Orin NX and especially the Orin AGX is way out of my budget sadly… even the Orin NX would cost 3 times as much as the Orin Nano Super Development Board and that isn’t the kind of budget I have available for this project unfortnately :/
If you have concern about the cost then I think my answer here is we don’t guarantee that would work.
4k@60 and 2880x1440@120 or @90 all have similar pixel which Orin Nano won’t have enough clk to output that.
