Jetson Orin NX Module 16GB when pressing Shutdown, the power light does not turn off and restarts automatically

Hi team,
I use both Jetson Orin NX Module 8GB and Jetson Orin NX Module 16GB with Waveshare base board (Jetson Orin Nano/NX AI Development Board, Waveshare Orin Nano/NX Development Board Based on Jetson Orin Nano and Jetson Orin NX module | JETSON-ORIN-IO-BASE).

=> Using Jetson Orin NX Module 8GB: when pressing Shutdown, the module turns off normally, and the power light on the base circuit turns off after pressing Shutdown.

=> Using Jetson Orin NX Module 16GB: when pressing Shutdown, the module cannot shut down, The power light on the base board stays ON after pressing Shutdown, and after a while (about 2~3 minutes) the module automatically restarts.
I also used: Jetpack 5.1.2, Jetpack 5.1.4, and Jetpack 6.0 to test and all had this problem with Jetson Orin NX Module 16GB: The power light on the base board stays ON after pressing Shutdown, and after a while (about 2~3 minutes) the module restarts itself.

Hi,

This issue is not possible to reproduce on NV devkit. As this is custom board, please report issue to the vendor.

I contacted Waveshare and got the following response.

The Jetson Orin NX Module 16GB shipment I received at the end of 2024 is still working normally. However, the Jetson Orin NX Module 16GB shipment I received at the beginning of 2025 has this problem.
Can you check for me how to fix this problem?

If you cannot get a NV devkit and put those modules on it to test, then there is nothing I can help.

We don’t know that board design at all.
