Jetson TK1: Mobile Embedded Supercomputer Takes CUDA Everywhere

Mark,

cannot see updated text? currently states: Jetson TK1 comes with NVIDIA’s new VisionWorks Computer Vision Toolkit pre-installed.

please could you comment on delay?

apologies, but I do feel this may now be significant.

Jonathan

There is information about Tegra K1 MIPI here: https://developer.nvidia.co... and here: https://devtalk.nvidia.com/...

Tegra K1 is a mobile processor, and it supports MIPI according to the links I posted below.

Hi Mark, just a little curios about NvLink does the motherboard has to support this function build onto it to have that working? Sorry for this question I'm just a regular joe that work in Video Productions and like to keep up with the latest technology that can benefit my skill.

Thanks

Sorry, this was due to miscommunication internally about VisionWorks. It will be available in the future but it is not available today.

Would be glad to get an updated info on this matter... , can you atleast give us an approximate release date? Thank you in advance.
Sincerely yours

Where do you obtain the expansion port from?

SPI Boot Flash 4MB is mentioned in the spec of Jetson TK1. Is that for storing the bootloader image? Or does the code within the SPI Boot Flash open source?

I asked about this, and I'm told the SPI flash is unused on Jetson TK1, as shipped. The Boot Configuration Table (BCT) and bootloader image are located on the eMMC device.

Any updates on OpenCL support for the TK1?

Unfortunate that I can't seem to use QNX with the Jetson TK1 unless I have been classified by NVidia as an "automotive" developer. QNX is a much-desired option for our commercial application.

I feel a bit duped. I saw a screenshot of the Visionworks drag and drop interface, and bought the tk1. But when I set up the devkit, I only see Nsight to work with. That's unbelievably disappointing. I'm a php programmer but don't know anything about C. Now I can't do anything I planned and my wife isn't so happy I spent $200 on nothing. Thanks a lot for the problems. Any update on Vision Works?

And to boot, it's still written above "Once you are up and running, you can download and install the CUDA Toolkit v6.0 and the VisionWorks SDK from the Jetson Support Page"

This issue is now fixed. If you download the latest Jetson TK1 image here (21.4) you'll find that the stream concurrency issue is resolved. https://developer.nvidia.co...

Are you sure this has been fixed? I'm running the NVidia batchCUBLAS example on the TK1 and streams with CuBLAS still don't execute in parallel. I'm running 21.4, but noticed that 21.4 appears to come standard with the CUDA package from 21.3 (cuda-repo-l4t-r21.3-6-5-local_6.5-50_armhf) [NOTE the 21.3 in there].

Why no Cuda 7.x for Jetson TK1 (or availability of X1-based equivalent)?

I have ordered one. Wish to complete my undergraduate research project using jetson TK1
