Recently I’ve been working on a TX1, and for the past couple weeks it has been working fine. I went to work on it today, but after turning it on the display and usb hub I have plugged in wouldn’t connect. I didn’t change my wiring and have turned it on with this exact setup before with no problems. What’s causing this issue?
You can use the serial console to check the board status instead of monitor and usb.
This is a more precise way to check board status.
Sorry for the late reply. Here’s what I’ve done so far.
- Plugged in a six pin converter to USB into the J17 UART Header of the TX1
- Downloaded minicom
- Set the port to /dev/ttyUSB0 (I checked, this is the correct port)
When I turn on the TX1 while viewing the minicom window I don’t see any output at all. Did I do something wrong setting up or do I have to do more in order to view the serial console?
Here’s a screenshot of the current minicom settings
You can try to reboot the device after you enable the console.
No matte what situation, the serial console will print some logs.
