Jetson TX2 crashed

I have been using the Jetson TX2 developer kit to compile and test simple programs using the CPU only. The Jetpack has not been installed yet as there was download error probably because of the firewall in China.

Last night, I left the kit to run a program overnight. When I woke up this morning, it failed to be turned on again anymore. The blue indicator light on the power adapter was on normally when I plugged it in. But when the adapter was connected with my kit, the red indicator light on the device would be on shortly, and then both the blue light on the power adapter and the red light on the kit would fade away soon. Afterwards, the kit could not be turned on anymore.

I will return to Seattle soon next week. Does anyone know where I could receive help to fix the device?

Hi zhtang,

You could try the RMA(Return Material Authorization) process - https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/faq#rma-process

If you believe that your Jetson product is defective, please contact the NVIDIA Customer Care team. We will help you troubleshoot your issue and process a replacement if it is foundto be defective.

  • Go to this http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/home.
  • Select "Live Chat" option to chat online with one of our customer care agents.
  • Enter your contact information.
  • Select the "Jetson" from the product drop-down list.
  • Submit the request.

I think I have the Jetson TX2 Developer Kit fixed. The device may not comply well with the different voltage standard in China.
