Does anyone know if the Xavier has means to power down the Tensor core? I couldn’t find a reference… thanks!
Hi anthony.scarnici, yes, Xavier’s integrated Volta GPU implements dynamic power scaling, it draws little power at idle and scales up as necessary, depending on the workload. The Tensor Cores are only used if HMMA/IMMA matrix multiply accumulate operations are being run.
