JetsonNano HDMI "No signal"

It happens on a custom board with display from https://www.waveshare.com/5inch-HDMI-LCD-H.htm, but there is other monitor that works fine.

dmesg_log.txt (58.6 KB)

Is this monitor working fine on devkit?

works(5inch-HDMI-LCD) but has problems with resolution

  1. What is the problem on devkit?

  2. In your log, it has multiple “unplugged” Do you see the same behavior on devkit?

Booted on devkit, display works
dmesg_log.txt (58.6 KB)

Are those unplugged triggered by you or it just printed by itself?

Itself, cyclically trying to connect

Does this unplugged/plugged also happened on other HDMI monitors? This sounds like this 5inch-HDMI-LCD has something wrong…

3 monitors were tested, one is fully and stably working, two are not(no signal)

You mean on devkit or on your board? Such unplugged event should not keep happening.

my board

Are those two “no signal” monitor also sharing the same behavior which has many “unplugged” in dmesg?

there is no cycling, but the screen is dark
dmesg_log_mon.txt (53.8 KB)

Don’t see error message. Please try to check hotplug case.

Do not connect any monitor when boot up. Hotplug the monitor until the boot is done.

after hotplug, screen is dark

  1. Is this monitor working fine on devkit?

  2. Could you check /var/log/Xorg.0.log and attach it?

  1. yes (tested without Xserver)

2
Xorg.0.log (11.1 KB)

Also don’t see error in your xorg log.

Please try to check this from hardware aspect.
