# Kit 110.2 - Properties Panel and uiHints

Does the Properties Panel respect `uiHints` for `displayName` and `displayGroup` when defined on Prims or schema API classes? I’ve defined a custom schema with those metadata fields but I am unable to get display names and groups to appear - the property panel just shows the raw attributes, ungrouped. Any help would be appreciated - picking through `omni.property.usd` hasn’t gotten me anywhere. Thanks!

I solved this issue. As it turns out, the `uiHints` dictionary is **not** used by `omni.kit.property.usd`. However, bare, untyped `displayName` and `displayGroup` keys **are** respected and result in grouped panels with display names instead of raw, ungrouped properties. the style looks like:

```auto
class "MyClass" (
...yada yada yada...
)
{
    int mycompany:myclass:myattribute (
        displayName = "My Attribute"
        displayGroup = "Group:Subgroup"
    )
}

```
