L4t_backup_restore.sh - System boots to EFI shell after restore

Hi NVidia Team

We are using the l4t_backup_restore.sh script to backup our own T5000 Thor system. The backup works and also the restore runs through, but after the system boots to the EFI Shell. It seems identical to our previous topic: Orin NX - backup restore not working - #32 by sevm89

Again we had to remove the option “conv=sparse” from the nvrestore_partitions.sh script. Seems that the changes made by NVidia do not solve the issue. The JetPack Version is 7.1.

The topic you shared is for Orin NX.
Do you mean there’s the similar issue on Thor with JP7.1 and it will work after you remove conv=sparse?

Yes, we see the same issue with the Thor and JP7.1 that we already reported to NVidia for the Orin NX.

Could you provide the full serial console log for further check?

We would also like to know if the issue is specific to Apacer: PV920-M280 NVMe which you used in previous case.
