L4T R35.50 After many power-cycle hangs in EDK2 (FvbNorFlashStandaloneMm)

I’m working on AGX Orin 32GB with a custom carrier board on R35.5.0

I did power on-off test (power cycle) without shutdown.
After several power off (ca.1000) it stopped booting with the following error.

ASSERT [FvbNorFlashStandaloneMm] /some_random_location/Silicon/NVIDIA/Drivers/FvbNorFlashDxe/FvbNorFlashStandaloneMm.c(868): ((BOOLEAN)(0==1))

This is similar to the issue https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/fail-to-validate-the-varstore-on-uefi/298476

except the missing high temperature.

Does there already exist a fix? What is the workaround?

This is not a deep learning issue. This is an EDK2, boot issue.

Hi brundli,

Are you using the devkit or custom board for AGX Orin?

I just create a topic relating to this kind of assertion issue.
Please refer to Assertion issue in UEFI during boot - Jetson & Embedded Systems / Jetson AGX Orin - NVIDIA Developer Forums for details.
