Do the beta releases of the nvidia drivers (100.14.03 ATM for linux) support HW CUDA operation ? I have tried to install CUDA and the nvidia drivers on a headless FC6 x86_64 machine (no X started) with a 8800GTS and get the following (after successfully building the 32bit executables):
debug: Cuda error in file ‘bitonic.cu’ in line 64 : unspecified driver error.
the error shows up in the kernel logs as well:
kernel: NVRM: loading NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 100.14.03 Wed Apr 4 23:18:53 PDT 2007
kernel: NVRM: API mismatch: the client has the version 0.0-0, but
kernel: NVRM: this kernel module has the version 100.14.03. Please
kernel: NVRM: make sure that this kernel module and all NVIDIA driver
kernel: NVRM: components have the same version.
the card is a:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G80 [GeForce 8800 GTS] (rev a2)
I’m not sure if this is a driver issue, an X issue or did I miss something while setting up the SDK ?
