Linux drivers for 1660 Ti cause black screen

I tried to install three different versions of drivers on my laptop (Dell G3 with GTX 1660 Ti max-q card), 440, 430 and 418, and all resulted in black screen (gnome server w/o display).
I didn’t see any errors in Xorg log file, but the display was gone.
Card was detected fine:

I tried a couple of things like blacklisting nouveau drivers, adding modeset (or amdgpu) module and setting AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration option, but that did not help.
Xorg.log had no errors just a couple of warnings:

Are there documented issues with 1660 Ti drivers for Linux, or is that card supposed to work?
I’d appreciate any info on how to set this up.
Thanks!
