Hello. I am trying to upload a 13 GB project file from my localhost to a server we set up on another computer called “randomrandom” (server name written as an example). I managed to upload up to 9 GB, then it gave me an HTTP 401 error and stopped the upload. When I tried again, this time it gave me the HTTP 504 error shown in the image. What is the solution? Could you please help me?
Hi there thanks for posting.
If the connection is timing out and dropping the file then it’s a connection problem at your end, that we cannot really help you with much, unfortunately. Maybe it’s a bad line, or maybe the server is intermittent. There’s nothing really we can help you with in terms of code.
Are you saying that your entire project folder is 13GB, or just the USD file?
“Thanks for the reply. The entire project folder is 13GB. The USD file inside is 489KB in size.”
Ok so that is good. And does it keep cutting out at a specific file? You may just have to upload a section at a time, unfortunately. So the textures folder, then the materials folder, etc. Until it all gets there. But this does not really solve the problem of the unstable connection. Error 401 is not authorized. Error 504 is a upload timeout. So you may be trying to upload to an unauthorized area.
