Lvmetad error with Ubuntu 18.04 Nvidia 430

Hi
I have Ubuntu 18.04.3 with Kernel 4.15
I have installed the display driver 430.40 using sudo apt install nvidia-driver-430
One I install it, my computer gets into a black screen with
WARNING: Failed to connect to lvmetad: Falling back to device scanning
/dev/mapper/ubuntu–vg-root: clean, 418745/30433280 files, 10191421/121713664 blocks

Try booting to safe mode, then clean and reinstall the driver
sudo apt-get purge nvidia-*
sudo apt install nvidia-driver-430
maybe check if the 418 driver is still available
sudo apt install nvidia-driver-418
