Memory recommendation - 21 GB buffer between DDR Memory and Network

Hi,

I have an application, where I need to send 21 GB of data from CUDA memory via Ethernet. Due to the long transfer time, I would like to buffer this data somewhere else, so that I can use the CUDA memory again as fast as possible.
My current idea is to use PCIe4 NVMe like Samsung 980 PRO or WD Black SN850. The 8x PCIe bus is already in use. Therefore I am thinking about using the M.2 connector.
Do you have different ideas how to accomplish this or recommendations for SSDs providing a high write data rate with the Jetson?
Could there be thermal problems if I write 21GB bursts to a PCIe 4.0 NVMe?

Best regards,
Gerrit

Hi,

We cannot guarantee if there would be a thermal problems. But if there is a increasing temperature, the fan and other throttling events will be triggered to prevent it. This may affect your data write speed.
