# Mix different NVIDIA GPU on the same server

Is it possible (or does it even make sense) to have on the same (Dell R740xd) server:

1. P40 - used for VMWare Horizon VDI graphics
2. V100 - used for Deep Learning/HPC development

Or is it required/recommended to have the same GPU on a single physical server?

This is not supported from the OEM. So please don’t do this although it would work from a technical perspective.

Is it supported to mix between m10 and p40 cards? Or a k2 and an m10? Would be with an r730 Dell server.
