Hi, what options do we have to virtually provide the GPU of a Hyper‑V 2019 host with a Quadro RTX 6000 to multiple Windows VMs?
Can we use NVIDIA GRID vPC or vWS?
In the release notes for NVIDIA Virtual GPU v16, both the graphics card and Hyper‑V 2019 are listed as supported. Is there an installation or setup guide available for this?
Thank you very much for your help.
Hi,
Unfortunately from your description I have no real idea what you want to achieve. vGPU or Passthrough? Assign the GPU to a single VM or slicing the GPU? PT will work, vGPU not.
vGPU or GPU-P as it is called for MSFT is supported with Server 2025 only and requires at least Ampere GPUs. Your Quadro GPU is already outdated.
Hi,
we would like to share the GPU with multiple VMs, meaning vGPU.
What does the support for Hyper‑V 2019 refer to in the release notes? Hyper‑V can already do DDA directly without NVIDIA GRID.
Thanks for your help!
Greetings
