I stumbled recently over Keith Packards blog entry, describing the MST problems. He proposes there a RandR 1.5 Extensions, which includes monitors, so now there is a seperation between logical and physical configuration (MST-monitors). I dont know how “official” his plans are, but my question would be if there are any plans to include this xrandr 1.5 in the nvidia drivers?
