Multiple courses show incomplete progress despite full completion and 100% scores

I am writing to report an issue affecting multiple NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute courses in my account.

I have completed all the content in these courses, including:

  • Viewing all pages and videos

  • Opening and launching all labs

  • Completing all quizzes with a 100% score

  • Meeting and exceeding the passing grade requirements

However, several courses still show incomplete course completion percentages, and therefore the certificates are not being unlocked, even though I am passing all of them with full scores.

The affected courses are:

  • Learn OpenUSD: Creating Composition Arcs (89% completed)

  • Learn OpenUSD: Learning About Stages, Prims, and Attributes (65% completed)

  • Getting Started: Simulating Your First Robot in Isaac Sim (86% completed)

  • An Introduction to Developing With NVIDIA Omniverse (56% completed)

  • How to Build a Native OpenUSD XR Application (78% completed)

  • Ingesting Robot Assets and Simulating Your Robot in Isaac Sim (67% completed)

I have carefully revisited all modules in each course to ensure that no pages, labs, wrap-up sections, or surveys were missed, but the completion status has not updated. This appears to be a progress tracking issue affecting multiple courses.

Could you please review my account and course progress and help update the completion status so the certificates can be issued?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Best regards,

RaĂşl Sanz Mancebo

Hi @raul.sanz2

Welcome to the NVIDIA Developer forums. You will need to open a case with the DLI team for these issues.

Hey @raul.sanz2, the “Incomplete Progress” message you’re seeing is incorrect, and we apologize for the confusion. Our team is working on fixing this display problem.

The PROGRESS bar is separate from whether your CERTIFICATE gets generated or not.

The good news is that you do not need to reach 100% progress to receive your certificate. What does matter is passing the assessment correctly.

Once the code for the assessment is completed, go back to page from where you clicked to “Launch” the lab, and click “Assess Task.” If you have correctly implemented the code for the assessments, you will have your certificate generated, regardless of the state of the progress bar.

If you run into any trouble or something still doesn’t look right, feel free to reply back and we are happy to help. Thank you again for your patience, and we appreciate your effort in completing the courses.

Hi @hsyed3 and @TomNVIDIA ,

Thank you very much for your responses and for the clarification regarding the progress bar and certificate generation.

After reviewing my courses more carefully, I realized that I made a mistake in my earlier message by including some OpenUSD courses that already have their certificates generated. Specifically:

  • Learn OpenUSD: Learning About Stages, Prims, and Attributes

  • Learn OpenUSD: Creating Composition Arcs

Both of these courses were already completed successfully, and I apologize for the confusion.

The courses that are currently affected and for which the certificates have not been generated are the following:

  • Augment Your LLM Using Retrieval Augmented Generation (100% completed)

  • Generative AI Explained (100% completed)

  • Getting Started: Simulating Your First Robot in Isaac Sim (86% completed)

  • An Introduction to Developing With NVIDIA Omniverse (56% completed)

  • How to Build a Native OpenUSD XR Application (78% completed)

  • Ingesting Robot Assets and Simulating Your Robot in Isaac Sim (67% completed)

For these courses, there is no Jupyter Lab or assessment runtime that can be stopped or assessed as described, yet the certificates have not been generated.

As suggested, I have already opened a support ticket with the DLI team, and I will wait for their response. I just wanted to clarify the situation here to ensure there is no misunderstanding.

Thank you very much for your time, attention, and support.

Best regards,

@raul.sanz2,

I wanted to help clarify. Our short, free self‑paced courses typically don’t include a credential, and the specific ones you listed don’t offer certificates.

· Augment Your LLM Using RAG – 1 hr, free, no certificate

· Generative AI Explained – 2 hrs, free, no certificate

· Simulating Your First Robot in Isaac Sim – 1.5 hrs, free, no certificate

· Intro to Developing with NVIDIA Omniverse – 2 hrs, free, no certificate

· Build a Native OpenUSD XR Application – 2 hrs, free, no certificate

· Ingesting Robot Assets & Simulating in Isaac Sim – 1 hr, free, no certificate

This information about certificate or no certificate is available to you on the course description page when you sign up for the course. Please see the screenshot example of a course that does have a certificate and how this information is listed.

If earning a certificate is important to you, I’d recommend looking for courses that explicitly mention a Certificate on their description page - these are usually longer, more in‑depth offerings. You’ll see whether a course includes a certificate before you sign up.

Please let us know if this answers your question.
