Given the TX2 has only one SATA connector, what’s the preferred way of having multiple hard drives? Via PCIe? Something else?
More specifically, I was planning on using a hot swap mount like this: ICY DOCK MB992SK-B Enterprise Full Metal 2 x 2.5” SATA Hard Drive or SSD Mobile Rack in 3.5” Device Bay - Retail - Newegg.com
Is this out of the question?
Beware that the dock you are looking at only makes it “warm swap”. It isn’t “hot swap” until you put in place the correct software to handle failure cases.
You’ll probably need either an external USB to SATA adapter, or else a PCIe SATA adapter. You might also need to provide external power for the second drive (I don’t know if board provided power would be sufficient for a second drive).
