Hi!
I’m currently considering setting up my Jetson Nano B01 Developer Kit with a multitouch monitor.
After researching various options, I’ve found that the Dell P2418HT multitouch monitor is a highly popular choice, widely available, and consistently receives positive reviews. Personally, I like its tilt positioning mechanism, and its price/performance ratio makes it a compelling option for my setup.
I have come across some forum threads where users mention the need to connect both HDMI and USB cables for a touch screen to work.
The Dell P2418HT features various interfaces, including VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 3.0 upstream, 2 x USB 3.0 downstream, and 2 x USB 2.0 downstream.
I would like to know if the multitouch functionality of the Dell P2418HT monitor would work with the Jetson Nano B01 Developer Kit in the following configurations:
-
Using HDMI: Connecting the Jetson board’s HDMI output to the HDMI input on the monitor and connecting one of the Jetson board’s USB 3.0 Type A ports to the USB 3.0 upstream port on the monitor.
-
Using DisplayPort: Connecting the Jetson board’s DP output to the DP input on the monitor and connecting the one of the Jetson board’s USB 3.0 Type A ports to the USB 3.0 upstream port on the monitor.
Additionally, I would like to know if any specific drivers are required to enable the multitouch feature on the Dell P2418HT monitor when connected to the Jetson Nano B01 Developer Kit. If specific drivers are necessary, I would like to confirm if they are compatible with the preinstalled Ubuntu Linux x64 Version 18.04 on the Jetson Nano.
Thank you!
